Celebrating the day of Our Lady - kraljica Hrvata = Croatians Queen

The feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Our Lady, is celebrated today in the Cathedral of Our Lady of Dubrovnik.

Today is also a day of pilgrimage and worship of the Virgin Mary, and a state holiday in whole Croatia.

In the Dubrovnik region, several parishes bear the name of the Great Lady, and the Dubrovnik Cathedral is dedicated to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the sky.

The centenary celebration ceremony at 19 o'clock in front of the headquarters will be led by the bishop of Dubrovnik, Msgr. Mate Uzinic, followed by a procession to the old town harbor with the image of "Our Lady of Porat" (port).
